I have been communicating with them past two months. I have uploaded over 31 videos. A majority of them relate to the performance of the Backyard AI tracking. Iām in a constant back and forth with their engineering and R&D department at the moment.
The so-called manager who is serving as the mediator. Has been recently replying to me, highlighting that it is either my installation height and the PIR sensor not picking up people due to them being near or underneath the PIR sensor.
The PIR sensor is located on the lowest part of the camera face. The camera tilts downward, making the PIR sensor cover underneath the camera area. The problem is the poor AI tracking that is supposed to centre on people or movement. And what you highlighted regarding the āpredictive trackingā
People donāt approach the area he marked out. They are being detected via PIR and not being tracked correctly. They are trying to fob me off with rubbish
They responded to me, saying the āNo Blind Spotā is the ā360° Guardianā refers to the cameraās full visual coverage, not the PIR detection range.
They also increased the recommended installation range by a foot
Original
Original diagram and confirmed correct height. Mine is 7.5 ft high. The same as my front door S340, which tracks better at low angles.
The new diagram I received has a new height ![]()
Iām still awaiting a reply to my last email sent on Saturday. Letās see how that goes ![]()
