Is there a way to access your home base 3 from the internet in order to view your saved activations. This is very easy to do with ring with their cloud but the point of getting Eufy is I want to do away with the cloud payments. I know I can view individual cameras but want to view footage saved on the HomeBase 3

Use the app. You can change the settings by tapping on the homebase and choosing the setting icon, I believe those settings are under general.

Yes I see where I can find find and view activations on the app, this requires the footage on the camera to be uploaded from the memory on the camera and viewed on your phone. It can be a little slow and you are viewing it on a small phone screen. What I was looking to see if I can do is should I buy a homebase which will store the footage on the homebase can I access that footage on the web portal and view activations of a full sized screen. I have tried to look at the cameras on the web portal, I can get a live view and it shows much better detail than on my phone but it does not show previous activations unless you have a cloud account.

Yes get the homebase 3, buy a ssd and put in, no more cloud.

Yes but the question is if you get a homebase three can you use a pc to go look at the footage stored on the homebase 3 or can you only do that with the phone app. Only place I saw at the eufy security web app was to view past events via their cloud storage which I don’t have or a live view.

I wish that were the case but it is not, that only lets you view the live view of what is going on right now when you view it, it will not let you look at earlier activations and that is unfortunate, anything you can do on the app you should be able to do on the web with the right credentials. When I go to that page it even has a natation that answers my question precisely.
It says, “* It’s unavailable to play the clips stored in HomeBase local storage by web portal because they have been advanced encrypted. It’s recommended you to play them in the app or subscribe to the cloud recording service.” In other word they will let you look at them on the web but you got to pay.
Even though the videos are stored on the Homebase, it is technically still connected to your local network. This should be accessible from a web portal since it’s just accessing your own network online. I will suggest this to Eufy if they don’t have this available as of yet. Personally, I would love to see this feature available with any Homebase/Camera connection.
