Why is my floodlight cam light turning off when my phone app turns off? had it for 2 years and just started happening. The light no longer stays on either motion triggered or manually triggered. I switched all the timing settings and the same result of the light turning off with the phone screen turning off. please help we need the light on! #topic #floodlightbroken? #appbroke

That’s odd, open the app and then go to Live View and try toggling the light on and off to see if that functions.

Yes, it will turn on with the app as well as motion sensor, I have the light on timer set for longest setting. By all means it should stay on but turns off when the app/phone screen times out. Happening to both my and my wife’s phones suddenly. Was there an app update or something that got screwed up? Otherwise I’ll have to uninstall the camera as I need a light more (for my dogs)
Before you uninstall it try killing the power supply to it, for 10 minutes.
