I’ve the 2K cameras, and i’m always needing clearer video. For instance, a neighbor graces my yard with their flower bed clippings, or that one car races by trying to be cool, you can never get a read on the plate, when there are children playing.

I recently upgraded to Eufy from a setup that was probably well over 7 years old. The tech today allows for so much more standard clarity than I was even used to. But, though I am absolutely happy with the upgrade, I still do wish that night time movement clarity gets sharper and more stable when zooming in. I’m sure there are a lot of variables in play, but it is still universally not as clear to the standard consumer.

I really wish I had clearer video from when a driver pulled over at 3:00 in the morning to help a duck off the road in front of my house. Unfortunately, another driver hit the duck. In a panic, the first driver decided it would be a great idea to come to the front door and knock to see if it was our pet.

He had a stick he’d been using to try to get the duck off the road, and he also brought it to the front door with him. I should mention that he had just come from some sort of party, so he was wearing a leather vest. In the video, he looked like a biker carrying a wooden stick. If the footage had been clearer, I would have realized he was actually a well-dressed fellow in party clothes.

The duck is fine.

Eufy system was my first security camera setup. Generally impressed with field of view and resolution. I added several cameras with 3k resolution and all is well. It would be reasonable to expect innovation to continue with the security products.

We currently have an older model camera. But I really think having a strobe and spot light would make me consider upgrading. It’s a nice feature when someone comes close for a spotlight to come on. That is a big deterrent. Another feature I would like is a different notification for people vs regular motion. If a person is spotted on my property at 10PM I would like to set a louder notification. We have a lot of cats and deer that set off the camera so I don’t have notifications set to loud at night.

. Imagine motion-activated strobes and sirens that trigger simultaneously, loudly broadcasting a pre-recorded message like “You are being recorded, leave immediately”. Integrated with smart home platforms, it could also trigger smart lights and automated blinds upon detection, creating the impression of occupancy and a less appealing target.

I’m grateful I got the eufy camera its clearer and reliable.

Was there ever a time I wish my security camera had even clearer video? YES, on our front porch. There has been this huge spider making a web. I didn’t know what it was at first because it only showed up as either a black or white spot. I couldn’t understand what it was and tried zooming in but the camera couldn’t focus. I took a still shit of it and tried to clean it up and thought it was animal scat on the decking. This concerned me because we have bears and I didn’t want to go out and perhaps scare a curious snooper and get attacked. Finally, there was a little breeze that blew the web just enough for me to see the hairy legs. I still wasn’t going out to take care of it, I don’t like spiders. Just writing about it gives me the creepy, crawlies. I sent my husband out but he couldn’t find it. It came back last night :grimacing:

I have the Solocam 30 and I have literally never charged the device manually! I have one place in the front where the panel receives full sunlight most of the day. I have a second in the back, where direct sunlight is only 5-6 hours.

I’ve been using Eufy products for over two years now and honestly couldn’t have made a better choice. I started with the smart lock for my front door and the video doorbell, and recently added the SoloCam E30. Setup was quick and easy, the image quality is amazing even at night, and the motion detection is super accurate without sending false alerts. I love that I can use everything without paying monthly fees. Every new device just proves to me that Eufy is a brand I can trust for security, quality, and ease of use.

While day video has been great for the most part, there has been many time I wish the night camera would be better. It is really hard to make out face at night at a distant if the person is not close.

Ive tried a few different camera systems but stuck with Eufy because for my purposes it is the best I have tried. I have a homebase3 with 5 s340’s and 3 s330 4g’s all connected to a Verizon moblie hotspot. There was one occasion that the footage was used to file trespassing charges and I have used it multiple times to run people off with either the siren or verbally via the 2 way communication. I would like either if these products. The strobe as well as the lighting system would help in keeping people off my property.

Yes there have definitely been time I wished my security camera has sharper video, especially when trying to identify a license plate or someone’s face in low light or night time. For getting rid of intruders, I’d love built in ai that can emit a loud verbal warning, trigger bright floodlights, and or automatically alert a specific neighbors devices. My eufy solar powered camera has gone almost over 7 months without a manual charge even during the cloudiest of weeks.

one night I noticed a suspicious person lingering outside my house, pacing and looking around like they were checking the place out. I grabbed my camera to record just in case, but the footage turned out blurry and dark. I remember wishing so badly it was crystal clear so I could actually see their face and have solid proof if anything happened.

I would like to see more devices with facial recognition. Less motion detection when nothing is the frame.
I have 2 E30’s by both have clear fields of vision and still get tons of false recordings. Would the home base 3 lower the chances of these false records? Eufy system is still the easiest to set up and very clear videos being recorded. It would also be nice if a Ethernet port was present so it could have better signal at distance.

We have had our eufy solar panel hooked up to our camera for 3 months and the camera has never lost charge or even dropped to half power, I originally thought I would have to pull it down at least I month to charge I am so impressed with this, and the reason why is that I have used small solar panels on my trail cameras and let me tell you, they failed in less than 2 weeks and this disappointment happened on two different solar panels, so naturally I was very sceptical, But the Eufy solar panel has not failed or disappoint me.

Thank you Eufy for making an amazing product

I find that my doorbell E340 cam could have better resolution, I’ve had teens doing Ding Dong Dash and it’s hard to get a clear still shot from the video even though it’s set at 2000k.

Just a month ago, my car was broken into right in my driveway, and the worst part was—we didn’t have a security camera at the time. There was no way to know who did it or when it happened. Since then, we’ve installed 2 Eufy cameras and the home base, and it’s been a huge blessing. A 3rd camera would be a great benefit, especially when money is tight, giving us even more coverage and peace of mind for our home’s security. Praise the Lord for a fantastic home security system that is eufy. Thank eufy team and community for all your hard work!

So I’m going to answer two of the questions actually because the question about the camera being clearer, that is most def a yes of course! I’ve had my eufy cameras for probably about 4-5 years now so they have come out with so many new ones and wish that I could have but absolutely just can’t afford more. So, the front door I’ve got one of the older wireless doorbell cams. Dont get me wrong, I absolutely love my doorbell cam still cuz it’s my first camera I’ve ever got for myself but when you want to look closer it starts to get more fuzzy the closer you get. I wish I could be able to have such a clear camera like the new ones to be able to look closer and see who the person is in a car that is driving by or is parked right outside of my house. My old doorbell most def does not do that even close. And then not to mention it misses people even walking up to my house and only catches them all walking away. It gets really annoying sometimes. Well, and then in the back, I’ve got a 2C camera and the quality for picture is pretty dang clear but it also has the same issue as the doorbell camera i have in the front of the house. When u zoom in, u can’t even tell who the heck or what the heck your even looking at. And that sucks cuz Ive got 2 of the 2Cs and there is so much static for noise like there is something wrong with the speakers so I already can’t hear anything. Wish I could just update cameras or like upgrade like they do for cell phones. That would be such an amazing idea eufy!

Spy on my neighbors :grimacing:
