App update caus

App update caused a problem in camera No Alarm mode (eufy 2c pro caneras). All cameras alarm even though settings verified that they should record and notify only. Any ideas?

Try restarting your phone after the upgrade

Also try logging out of the app and then log back in…

Ya, that might be it… Log out and let site for a few seconds… And I notice it takes longer fir the app to open when doing that…
Be sure to let the app close out for sure though, don’t open it right back up as soon as you log out…

Thanks. Tried all that before posting. Still, all cameras will alarm individually when each is triggered though ‘no alarm’ mode has the alarm setting turned off.

This all has worked flawlessly for me for 5 years. The app update broke something – software folks are the last to look inward for the problem.

yes Feb update version 5 broke things badly. but the dark screen works now OMG.
notifications stopped working for me.
luckily I could fall back to previous version and my alerts are working again.

I suppose watch this space. I assume people with issues are emailing them in?

I understand your frustration with these ongoing problems with the Eufy Security application. Here’s a suggestion to try and improve the situation:

contact Eufy support: send a detailed email to support@eufylife.com describing exactly what you’re experiencing. The more reports they receive, the more likely they are to act quickly.

Thanks. That’s the second thing i did after running through my own problem solving techniques, resets, reloads, options checking, reinstalls–all of the bs that the coders for SW updates want you to do before even suggesting that they broke something and did little to no operational testing before the release. BTW, that email exchange was not useful.

While you’re waiting for an official solution, keep an eye out for Eufy’s announcements of new updates.

Same here. It appeared after the Homebase 2 made an update during the night. Camera alarm is disabled. This is really annoying.

How about going into the Security Modes for the cameras and then toggle on the alarm, I know you have it set to off, but just toggle them on and then completely close out the app.

Set off one of the cameras so that the alarm activates.

Now go back into the app’s security modes and toggle off the alarm.
Also look in the HomeBase settings, as I don’t know if it has an individual setting for to activate an camera alarm.
Asking you to do this just possibly some setting just didn’t take or was not acknowledged.

The issue is with the app since last update

Everything they’re telling people does not work because it’s an app issue and nothing more

You are 100% correct. I am not spending my heartbeats on security camera switches, rebooting, reinstalling, etc, after a quick attempt. My equipment has worked over 5 years flawlessly, then the update broke something. Typical software error, all for the chance at a “new look and feel”.

Let’s just hope with people complaining that they will put another update out this has been going on since February 10th

Is everyone here experiencing the same issue? Doorbell is no longer detecting any human motion or receiving alerts unless the door is opened or closed ?
