I purchased many of these S340’s and now have two I purchased in late November 2023 that will not charge via solar and one that won’t turn on. These are far too expensive to last just barely a year. I was planning to buy several more for another home but now won’t unless they can solve this. Hopefully Eufy will make it right and the products actually last. I am in California and not a harsh environment.
Have several of these running now for many months with no issues, even when very cold. Did you fully charge the camera before hooking up the solar panel? Make sure the connector is on good and tight.
Did you try taking it down and charging them…?
Yes, fully charged before mounting. They have been in use for 315 days. One camera completely shut down and won’t turn on or charge inside. Two have expanded and delaminated solar panels which no longer function. Seems like the solar panels are a horrific design if they can’t last a year in Northern California environment. Luckily even though I purchased on Black Friday last year they were so back ordered that they didn’t shipped to me until early February. Support sent me a new camera for the one that wouldn’t turn on and two new solar panels that I guess I can expect to last just one year. Once these inevitably stop working I will go with a wired solution where it is feasible.
