My S330 camera is no longer charging with the solar panel, it is positioned directly in the sun every day and gets plenty of sunlight but still does not charge, this camera is about 6 months old and it used to charge so I’m sure the settings and position are fine. Anybody has the same issue and how did you fix it?
It worries me too!
I had similar experience. Since the sun angle of traveling and reduced solar rays for collection with increased cloud cover in the winter, I’ve watched a sharp decline over time with minimal changing. According to eufy information guide, you may have to lower your motion sensitivity settings in the winter seasons for that camera. Second, I’ve temporarily removed the camera and plugged it into the charger like a mobile phone to achieve 100% charge. Once it’s charged, I’ve re-installed it, wipe clean the solar panel and tilt the angle slightly (if possible) to compensate for more direct sunlight. If this doesn’t work due to the location of your camera on your house or consider other placement location or talk with eufy customer service.
If you live in the uk then this time of season as don’t see any sunlight even when sun is out it’s positioned low in the sky so the angle needs to be correct and I wouldn’t rely on it too much summer time it should charge up
Thanks everyone
I live in Canada and had the S340 and the battery declined everyday during the winter . On the other hand ,It barely charged even on sunny days. A friend got the E30 and during the same winter months it maintained charged with motion set at a 4-5. I have now switched to the E30 and returned the S340 and the cameras are at 90-100% everyday in winter
Is it delaminated? 3 of mine are delaminated and no longer charge.
Hey, I’m trying to upload a video, but its asking for a topic, where do I go to select one, because there’s no options. I click on the sample #topic but nothing came up for an option, I can’t complete the upload or post without one. Can anyone in the community help please
Sadly I think the S330 may have more issues than just the charging you referenced. I am having detection/recognition issues and it is only a few weeks from install. It completely misses me step outside the patio door and walk the perimeter of my house. The front driveway camera is better, but is now showing signs of “late” movement pick up. Too late to identify anything, as they leave the view range.
I have a similar issue with my s3 pro, I found that the angle of the sun needs to be at specific angles for the solar panel to work.
i don’t think the solar panel is very efficient…. Although it is winter in the uk now and the power of the sun is not as intense… but I would expect better results.
probably one for eufy to consider in their future products… more efficient solar panels.
In So Cal our cams are all staying at 98% charge from solar, sounds like you might have a sunshine deficiency
Battery won’t charge if temperature drops below 35F. Is that the case?
No sunshine deficiency. I’m in SoCal too
No, well above 35°, still no charging
Yes, slight delamination is visible. So frustrating
