I recently purchased an Eufy E340 Floodlight Camera (actually, I’ve purchased three of them to date, two of which I’ve returned to Amazon, and the third one I purchased with a Homebase S380, hoping that the Homebase would let me indirectly connect to my WiFi). None of these E340 cameras have been able to connect directly to my TP-Link BE95 Wifi-7 Router or indirectly via the Homebase S380. I have purchased numerous other Eufy, Tapo, and Kasa smart home and security products and have been able to connect them all to my WiFi except for an Eufy S385 indoor camera, even though an Eufy E30 Indoor Camera connected fine.
I’m trying to connect my E340 to my WiFi router via an SSID that is both a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz SSID (Wi-Fi-7 feature). I also created a 2.4 GHz only SSID and tried connecting to that. That didn’t work either.
I am thinking of giving up on the E340 and trying to order the Eufy Floodlight Cam S330 and E30 to see if either of those will connect to my WiFi directly or via the Homebase. Should I try those models?
I had problems also getting mine onto wifi. Very frustrating I agree. My parents have the same setup also with no problems. I gave it too my step dad too try and he connected it to his home base and Wi-Fi then deleted it and brought it back to my house and it connected right up.
It might have to do with your router’s firewall or security settings. You may need to check the ports that are enabled and adjust the settings. There is info about this under the “help” topics. (Maybe “punching holes” or something…)
If you cannot successfully connect to WiFi, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
Keep your camera close to the router to make sure it has a strong and stable WiFi signal.
Make sure your router can access the Internet without issues.
Try to turn off the firewall setting on the router. Make sure the following ports are open: TCP:12306, 12308, UDP:32099, 32100, 32101, 32102, 32132.
Hold the “SYNC” button for 10 seconds to reset the camera, then wait for a few minutes to start the setup process again.
Return to step 3 to check your WiFi settings, then scan the QR code again.
If the issue persists, please enable HotSpot on your phone and make the camera connect to your hotspot to see if it works: Device Tab>“…” icon> “Gear” icon> Camera Settings>General> Wi-Fi Connection> Change Wi-Fi
