We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the situation you mentioned, where the smart display still announces “an unknown person detected” even when a family member is present. In most cases, if the camera captures a clear image of the face at the first moment, the smart display system can quickly complete the recognition and the voice broadcast will announce the family member’s name directly. However, due to objective factors such as ambient lighting, movement speed, or angle, sometimes the face is not clearly captured when the camera first detects someone. In such cases, the smart display will initiate the voice broadcast immediately, but accurate facial recognition may not have been completed yet. As a result, the system will temporarily use the “stranger” prompt to notify you.

Please rest assured that we highly value your user experience and are continuously optimizing the timeliness and accuracy of the smart display’s voice notifications. We will keep overcoming technical challenges to make the announcements even more intelligent and timely, in order to provide you with a better experience. Thank you very much for your understanding and support!

Have a question,
While playing a recorded event is it possible to simultaneously have 2 or 3 cameras Live View windows open?
Thanks

You’re so welcome, I feel you can’t really compare the two, as the Google smart hub doesn’t automatically open the camera when someone is at the door. The Eufy Smart Display does and very quick. So for me it gives me (and my wife) a more sense of safety seeing who’s at the door before answering/opening.

And don’t forget to check the great discount on Amazon at the moment!

Ok maybe definitely worth considering for the safety aspect, definitely the Google hub can be very slow so thank you again. I shall look at it with fresh eyes.

Currently, this feature is not available. Could you please provide more details or scenarios where you would need this functionality? This will help our product team evaluate your request.

I have 2 homes with cameras connected to their own Homebase3 at each location. Will a single eufy Smart Display be able to be switched between viewing each home individually? Or will it have an “All Devices” option like is available in the My Homes section of the eufy phone app?

Yes, the Smart Display works like the phone app—you can switch between homes as long as both Homebases are under the same eufy account.

Well, I don’t have the E10 yet, but I assume you can view a recorded event using the whole display screen.
Since I’m reviewing recorded events I think it would be beneficial to be able to have two or three cameras displaying live view at the same time for monitoring purposes (user optional).
So basically just to keep an eye on things going on while watching recorded events.

It would be a nice feature, and I think it could be possible since recorded events are previously downloaded to the Smart Display and local Wi-Fi would only be needed to display the Live Views.

Thank you for sharing! Based on your images, we understand you’d like to view recorded events while also seeing a live feed simultaneously. We’ll forward this request to our product team for consideration.

Just got my E10 smart display and very disappointed. If I use the auto live view feature then when the E10 smart display connects to the camera the event video is stopped. So on my Eufy app and smart display the events are now just 2 or 3 seconds long?

Also if we are viewing the live feed then no events are saved at all?

Is this right? Surely this cannot be by design??

I’ve noticed even on the app if I start watching a notification immediately after getting it and go to live view it doesn’t record it so i always have to wait 3 minutes so it gets saved

Yes the app has always been like that. It looks like the E10 solves nothing. Pointless device. It’s just the same as Eufy app, same limitations.

Sure we can view 4x cams live feed, but then zero events are saved. Crazy!

Hi,
I received my E10 display two weeks ago and I’m very satisfied with it. I haven’t experienced the issues you’re describing. For example, I have it set up so that the live feed only appears when someone rings the doorbell on my door camera. When that happens, the image appears on the display within 2–3 seconds, and regardless of how long the session lasts, the recording is saved.
I also tested it with another camera (I have a total of five around my house), and even with the live feed active, everything is still recorded.
Question: Did you insert the included memory card into the display?

Strange - which cameras do you have if I may ask? I am using:

Floodlight Cam Pro 2. T8423
Floodlight Cam. T8424
Outdoor Cam. T8441

I wonder if the functionality varies on different cams?

And yep SD is inserted

Here is an image showing the short clips. Also I notice the clips don’t have thumbnails either.
