Sorry for the trouble! Just a quick question—do you have cloud storage or advanced video encryption enabled on your camera?

Hi. @euf5294

Yes I have Cloud Storage enabled.
Advanced Encryption is disabled.

Regarding the issue of being unable to record events when Live View is enabled, this is due to the original camera design. Our product team initially believed that since users can already see the live feed, there was no need to initiate recording at the same time. However, some of our latest camera models have already improved on this design. For this issue, you will be able to use the “Live View Record” feature as a solution—we expect to add this feature in the Smart Display with the September update.

As for the missing thumbnails on the event page, we’ve already identified the root cause and plan to resolve it through a future software update.

Sorry to confirm this again, but does the issue of the event failing to load the thumbnail happen every time, or only occasionally? :sob:

About 50% of the time. I can send you some videos of my E10 so you can see if you like. Not wanting to post them publicly. Shall I send them, in on that ticket I raised?

Thanks

Certainly! You can share more information via the ticket. If the videos are large, you can upload them to a cloud drive and provide the download link in the ticket. Also, please don’t forget to upload the logs—more logs would be very helpful.

I’ve been using the E10 Display for the past three weeks and was initially very impressed. However, after recently installing the new firmware update (V.2.2.60), the WiFi connection on the display has started behaving erratically. The signal strength fluctuates every three seconds — showing full strength one moment, then disappearing entirely the next.

I tested the WiFi signal at the device’s location and received excellent results. I even placed the display directly next to the router, but the issue persisted. Prior to version 2.2.60, I never experienced this problem — camera feeds would load instantly upon tapping.

Now, images sometimes don’t load at all or take 30 seconds or longer to appear, and the connection remains unstable. Restarting the HomeBase 3 (System Version 3.6.7.8, Subsystem Version 1.4.0.8) hasn’t resolved the issue.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Hi, I recently got the E10 display along with the HomeBase 3 and two indoor V2 camera’s. I have cry detection enabled on both camera’s for my two kids. We do get a notification on our smartphones every time a kid cries out for us. It would also be great to be able to activate the ‘Auto Live View’ feature when a camera pick up noise or cries. Currently it seems that this feature only works for motion related events or am I missing something? Being able to use it for noise events would make my baby monitor redundant.

Hi, could you create a ticket and provide the following information?

  • Video or screenshot of the problem (make sure the time is clearly visible on the screen)
  • Camera serial number (path: mobile app → camera settings → General → About Device)
  • Camera log: Eufy app → sidebar menu → About → Upload Log → Device Logs → Authorize and select the device to be checked
  • Smart display serial number (path: Smart screen settings → My Device → Device Info)
  • Log file:
  • Smart display log: drop-down menu → Settings → My Device → Upload log

Thank you for your feedback! Currently, the ‘Auto Live View’ feature only supports motion events, not noise or cry detection. However, our product team is already considering this feature for future updates. We will keep you informed if there are any changes.

My E10 has been working alot better recently. Most thumbnails are working.

I don’t think there has been any updates though.

One other thing I noticed is with T8441 cams if the spotlight is on, then when auto live view on E10 connects it turns off the spotlight.

From what I can tell it only seems to happen on T8441 cams. (Outdoor Cam Pro)

Hi @euf5294 any info on how the “Live View Record” feature works?
Example, I have (4) T8441 cams. (Outdoor Cam Pro) I am monitoring all four on the E10 display in live view, one of the cameras detect motion will a event be recorded?

The product team needs to rethink that, okay yes you can see the event happening but you have no proof that it occurred without a recording when motion is detected, also perhaps say you’re not there watching the the E10 display… You would have never known an event occurred.

T8441 works but has some quirks. It records event but the auto live view splits the event into two clips. A few seconds before auto live view and then another event clip for the rest of the event.

If the spotlight is turned on the second clip will turn it off though. Sometimes the spotlight comes on a second time, sometimes not.

Edit: potentially what is happening with T8441 is that auto live view is cancelling the first event (so spotlight turns off) but because motion is still happening T8441 seems to turn start a new clip straight away.

Maybe. Tbh the behaviour is a bit unpredictable.

Thanks for the information; We will let the lab start testing

This feature allows you to record the live video feed while you’re viewing it. It is expected to be added in the August version
