February firmware update causing havoc

In my humble opinion, ever since they rolled out the new all-in-one app for all their products, these issues / problems have increased.
The eufy app total size is 5.34 GB which is huge, heck the Chrome browser is only 290 MB.
Jamming too much code into the app for other eufy / Anker products I don’t use.

I have the same issue 1 camera stopped working . Contacted Eufy and said send replacement camera.
Got new S340 connected to my WiFi and then said there was a firmware update tried multiple times over the afternoon and evening to update. Looked at troubleshooting suggested disconnect and reconnect. Now the new camera won’t connect to my WiFi.
Back to where I started with 2 useless cameras?

I have found that running the homebase3 on an Ethernet cable as opposed to using WiFi, does reduce the latency but not altogether fixes the issues. I’ve found removing one hop from hb3 to router vastly improves the connection, but if I’m streaming tv and go to view the cameras there’s clearly throttling going on.

in my experience Eufy care not about their customers, that’s clear as daylight. They churn out mid-range products with horrendous quality and bad connection, and then give their customers no visibility nor care about their bad software updates.

why the hell I dust with these I do not know!

That sounds incredibly frustrating, especially the “ghost” images from other cameras—that’s a weird one. Since it started right after the update, have you tried a hard restart on the HomeBase 3 and power cycling the S340s? Sometimes a manual sync after a big firmware push clears those cache errors. If that doesn’t help, it definitely sounds like a bug they need to patch ASAP. You’re definitely not the only one seeing post-update glitches!
