For some reason, this hard drive will not work with my Home Base! Any ideas?

Well, the HD compatibility for the HB3 lists Crucial as okay to use.
Have you tried hooking it up to a PC just to see if it recognizes it?
What’s the power specs on that SSD? 5 volts what are the amps… if it’s over 1.2A eufy doesn’t recommend using it.

I have a 2tb Crucial Ssd and works fine. Did you format it? Or as was recommended try to hook up to a computer see if it reads my format it there.
The power stats of the Crucial BX 500, 4 TB SSD hard drive Does not exceed 1.2 A at 5 V. This is the second hard drive I have attempted to use on my system. I have tried the format it through the homebase three and I continually get an error code. The error code says “ Error found, and it’s not stable to continue using your hard drive. Please exchange another one for video recording.” I find it highly unlikely that this is happening with two hard drives in a row. The first one I exchanged because I thought it was actually unstable. It was brand new when I got it. I exchanged it for the exact same one and I am getting the exact same issue.

Hmmm.
Well, if you’re up to it maybe try a different brand to see if it happens again, then you’ll know that the HB3 has an issue.
I suggest trying either one of these drives.
If you do contact customer support for a replacement HomeBase3 they’ll probably suggest that you do a factory reset to see if it resolves the hard drive issue.
Maybe it’s too big at 5TB but seems unlikely? Does it format via a PC?

Some hard drives don’t work right I had trouble with one I tried even though it was supposed to be compatible (play back very glitchy)I’ve asked the community if someone could recommend a good one they’ve had success with but haven’t heard anything yet. I have the original 1TB working fine but it fills quickly with 13 cameras
have you tried to clean it with electronic cleaner? I collect retro video gaming stuffs and you can’t imagine what a good cleaning can do.
