I’ve installed a SATA SSD for video storage on my home base 3. The instructions mention that my videos should automatically be saved there, but after a month, the SSD is still empty. I’m doing something wrong? My ssd is a Crucial BX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5-Inch Internal SSD, up to 540MB/s - CT1000BX500SSD1, Solid State Drive
Interesting that I had a similar experience with blink. Had a sync module and usb set up, showed it was saving there, but nothing was ever recorded on my drive. Curious to know what you learn from your query…
This is interesting to know. Hopefully someone can give you a solution to this to be sure this additional storage works.
I’ve read that it will take a lot of recording before you see any percentage drop in available.
You can test it out to see if it is actually recording to the hard drive, if you don’t care about the videos that are recorded, then just format the hard drive then see if you can play them videos.
Yes it records to the hard drive once installed as a priority, then to the local internal storage when hard drive is full.
