Homebase 3 - Something not right!

As a sanity check… my system contains HB3 with 1TB SSD, S3 Pro outdoor, S340 Solocam and the dual lens indoor cam.

I’ve had this system for 6 days now and something doesn’t seem right.

Homebase 3 - Upon installation and after the prompt to format the Kingston SSD. I could see the storage capacity go down as more footage is stored which makes sense.
I clicked clear the other night and it showed 100% again which makes sense. However, now although recordings are stored as I can view them, I can see that the available storage space has NOT gone down? Its still on 100%! I clicked on format in hope that this will fix the issue but still the ever present 100% available is still showing.

Schedules: I’ve noticed that on the S3 Pro if it comes out of the preset modes via schedules and have notifications unchecked. Motion detection does not work and does not record.

I again climbed up a ladder to resync the camera and it worked straight away, but if it deviates from a non preset mode via a schedule the unit is dead for recording motion. Even when I use the “motion test mode” whilst running the schedule thats in a customised mode the red light doesn’t flash for movement. If it back in Home or Away with Notifications ticked, motion test works fine.

I getting extremely frustrated with this as I’m kinda tired of humping the ladder in and out of storage to check on these Eufy products…

It will take a lot until you start seeing any storage used I have a 2 TB Hard drive just not starting to get full after a year. Files are relatively small.

For scheduling go into security and hit the gear icon for home and away and let me know what your setting are for each.

Hi, For Home I have set Record for all but with NO notifications. For AWAY I have set Record with Notifications.

I’ve noticed that the S3 PRO is the one in question that the camera does not record/pick up motion when notifications are off. The reason why I know is that I my S340 solocam picks up motion near the same area that the S3 PRO does. And also my Ring Doorbell picks up motion where then S3 Pro should.

With notifications ON it does what it should.

What firmware are the S3pro on?
Also try restarting the home base and turn off the camera in the app then back on.
That’s weird that it doesn’t record or pick motion with notifications off. I helped beta test these cameras and this issue never came up.
Here’s my settings but I have notification on.

Do you mean the “system” version? = 3.0.9.6 Subsystem version is 0.0.6.3

I’ll try the above steps again… And I’ll know by today as the cam is set to home mode (Record but no notifications) and see what happens. I 100% know that its not picking up as my Ring doorbell and the S340 Solocam will indicate this. I know this as the postman delivered and every camera thats in that set area showed on their respective timelines but the S3 Pro showed nothing!

OK So I have done the above steps before heading out to work. 8AM was the schedule change to record with NO notifications.

I’ve had 2 recordings from the S3 Pro (which is better than nothing) However, I had 6 triggers from my S340 Solocam and then also my Ring Doorbell. The motion areas all crossover around the same patches so hence the Ring and Solocam triggers, but the main “singing and dancing” S3 Pro remains idle… This is really getting on my nerves.

Check this out… at 13.40 Amazon came in which the S3 Pro points to that area… NOTHING!

My window cleaner was doing the windows and the S340 was very active but the S3 Pro picked him up once…


System version is firmware. The latest 3.1.0.2. You might try contacting eufy support for help.

Well I am already in dialogue with them, but 1 answer/email/day is extremely frustrating…
