In the process of migrating from arlo to eufy and I have a couple of solocams. I have been able to install these in places my arlo cameras could not go because they were outside the range of the base station.
I have a unify wifi network which gives excellent coverage and is easily extended.
I would like to implement a homebase 3 to gain extra functionality and centralise clip storage, but it seems eufy follow the same network approach as arlo; if you want a camera to connect to a homebase it must be a direct connection and therefore range is problematic.
Why can the cameras not be wifi clients, and talk to the homebase through the wifi network? This would give easy and near infinite range extension?
Is there a better/alternate way?
