Lag time between detection and recording S340 + HB3

I have experience a lag time between ‘detection’ and ‘recording’ on S340 cameras. I have synced them to the HB3 and then reset all, including HB3 to factory settings and synced the S340s to the router + the HB3 to the router.
Still, there is a lag time - missing several seconds recording - between detection and recording. I have turned ON and OFF AI tracking without a change in the lag time. Eufy’s support is unable to offer resolution.

If have the original cams. I’ve experienced the same. It’s not always just every once in a while. I’m not sure what the cause is.

Mine, too, have shown stability for the past 3 days. I remain suspecting a periodic ping to search for updates triggers the loss. Eufy has no explanation.

Do you also experience notification of motion without a video of what triggered the event? If so, have you resolved that problem?

Any updates on this? The lag is really bad. I get half or the last of the object.

Victor, In my numerous emails with Eufy, they have shown absolutely no indication they are resolving this flaw. The other flaw is in the ‘Automation’ setting. I have linked 2 adjacent cameras using ‘Automation’ and the second camera still does not begin ‘filming’ despite being “activated”.
In my opinion, this system appears to be a good basic system and customer service really tries to help, but appears to be a contracted department. IF one desires seamless no-lag surveillance, wired with a loop recorder appears to be the best choice.

What camera do you have? If wireless, have you actually checked to determine a lag?

Thank you for the response. I agree the wired option is the best. I owned a Lorex POE, just the noise from the HD and the app was driving us crazy. Well I may need to go back to a wired option.

What I believe the camera does when it first detects somthing is take a snap shot…
That’s were you get the thumb nail on the screen… mine will flash first before the led turns solid… that’s on all my cameras…
Is your camera fully charged… that could be causing it not to respond quicker…
