My control center and web portal is no longer on my app

I have 3 Eufy cameras and 1 Eufy doorbell camera and I can no longer acces them to set a new safety pin. This is what is on my home computer and every day on my Eufy phone app I would create a new safety pin but the control center in my phone app that takes me to the web portal just disapeared from my app. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME I cannot use Eufy if I cannot set a new safety pin. Thank You --------> “If you would like to see the live view, please go to the sidebar in the App > Control Center > Web Portal Access and generate a Safety PIN first. Enter it to make it work.”

I don’t use the web portal so I’m not sure what the “safety pin” is. I’ve never had to enter a password when accessing the app either but I have it set so I’m always signed in (never signed out) call Eufy customer service there great there always busy but after being on hold for a bit a message will come on saying if you want a call back press 1 and they always do. I keep their # in my contact list so I don’t have to look it up every time

I’ve just aquired exactly this issue. The eufy support AI is useless. My best guess as to what has happened is that the Feb 10 Android Eufy App update has auto installed onto my phone, and the new “streamlined interface” lacks the hambuger icon that I formerly used to access the Control Center. My Andorid is Ver 9.0 and I suspect whatever new sidebar reliance Eufy has added is not supported at Android 9.0.
I fear Eufy did not realise “streamlining away” the only pre Android 12 access to the Control Center would render the app disfunctional on earlier Androids, so the updated App is wrongly marked as compatable with Android 9.0 (for example) on the Google Play Store, so allowing automatic updates.
Oops.

Did you try tapping the icon in the upper left? It pulls up the menu. I’m android 12+.
Good luck.

Did you try tapping the icon in the upper right? It brings up the menu on mine. Android 12+.
Good luck.

The only icons I have top right of the Eufy app are + (for Add Devices/Add Favorites) and to the left of that Messages (three dots in a voice ballon).
This is in Android 9.

Did I say right, I meant left. The icon looks a bit like contacts icon. I have a few apps using the same thing for the hamburger menu.

I just checked and on my phone went to upper far left icon (bunch of horizontal lines) and clicked on that and then found web portal and scrolled to bottom and found generate pin . Not sure what’s up

Is Android 9 supported by Google? I think you need to update it or get a new phone. There is only so much Eufy can reasonably do in terms of backwards support

1st January 2022 Android 9 “Pie” became end of life with no support from Google

Ah right. Yes thank you. If I press the Contacts-like Icon (which I have been trying poking and swiping and dragging and all sorts multiple times) for an astonishly long time, eventually a large menu does indded eventually come up.
But there is No Control Center listed as there used to be. The closesst is Settings. But I cannot find any Web Portal Access option like there used to be. So I still can;t generate a security PIN for webportal access.

I decided to take a look in settings. I’ve never used the web portal access so…
Open Settings > Security > Web Portal Access. At that point you have a slider so you can turn on Web Portal Access.
After that I don’t know because I don’t know what is normal.
Hope this helps!

Yes, thanks. I found that. So there is no “Control Center” anymore, just “Settings>Security”.

It is now Settings / Security / Web Portal Access.

After taping on setting tap on security then you will see web portal

My device was stolen is there anyway to track it

I don’t think so but I’m pretty sure they won’t be able to use it unless you delete the device from your app first. so i wouldn’t delete it. But maybe call customer support maybe they have some ideas

Hi, I had the same problem and we just figured it out.
On your phone open the app
At the very top of the screen on the left,
there is a profile silhouette/photo. Click on that (screen shot attached)
It should now give you drop down options.
Scroll down the page to find SETTINGS
SECURITY
WEB PORTAL ACCESS

I’ve attached a screen shot of the silhouette that you should be looking for.
