"please set it in the app"

Hi guys,

Please, please, please would someone help me.

I have the Eufy S4 Max security system, along with an E10 display.

When I first got it - it was working great, as when movement was detected, the E10 would light up and show me.

However - this no longer happens. When I go into the E10 Tablet, and then the Auto Live View section, I have a toggle switch for Active Live View on Display. If I set this to ‘on’, I get options of what I should be alerted of (Familiar Face / Unfamiliar Face / Human / Vehicle / Pet / All other motion). All of these are off, and when I try and toggle them on, I get a message saying “Please set it in the app”.

There is no setting I can find (in the iOS app) which relates to this.

Please can someone help.

Try restarting the e10 display.

I would do as advised and restart your E10. Check your OS version mine is V2.7.13. Update it if yours is older, then logout and back in. Hope it works. You can also check to see if auto update is on or off. I do manual updates myself. It also says to check your storage before an update to make sure you clean up your cache file.
I also checked my App and agree, there are no settings in the app for the E10.

Just to say… That message that says to please set it in the app refers to or asking you to make sure that you have those settings, human-pet- vehicle and so on selected / turned on for those camera’s own settings or in the NVR.
If you try to turn them on in the e10 display and if they are not turned on/engaged in each cameras individual settings within the app, you will see that message.

I received that message a few times even though they were already selected in the app, after restart of the E10 display I was then able to select those check boxes.
