Recurring sound on camera playback

I just received and fired up the S300 3-cam system yesterday and have an issue I’m wondering if anyone else has had or heard of. I put them out on the porch for an overnight test and noticed the recordings from two cameras picked up a regularly recurring sound (will try to include file here). I thought it was a bird at first, but it was the middle of the night, and upon further testing realized it is something within the camera. I isolated them one by one in a totally quiet place (my underwear drawer, if you must know) and tested them during live playback and recording, and the sound was still there so it’s definitely not environmental. One camera it’s pretty loud, other is quieter but there, and third one is fine.

I suspect it will end up being a return, but I tried to do some troubleshooting.

  1. Turned individual camera off and back on.
  2. Turned off & back on microphone, IR sensor, everything else I could turn off, and re-tried playback after each one.
  3. Reset base station
  4. Removed (un-linked) cameras from base station and reinstalled

Cam firmwares were updated on initial install.

Any other ideas on fixes would be much appreciated. OTherwise I guess I’ll be returning them, which I don’t really have time for and would be a massive bummer. Thanks!

Definitely something is wrong with the camera’s.
I recall someone having a similar issue, but don’t know which camera it was.
On your second testing you didn’t have the cameras near each other - correct?

That is correct. I totally isolated them, even shut one off while testing the other to make sure it wasn’t some kind of network interference or something.

If you haven’t reset the camera to factory, I would give that a try…
Press and hold the SYNC button on the back of the camera for approximately 10 seconds until you hear two beeps. This process restores default settings and requires you to re-add the camera to the eufy Security app.
Two of the cameras exhibiting the same issue, can you physically hear the noise, like put the camera near your ear.

Thank youuu, the reset is what I was trying to do by deleting them from the base station and reinstalling, but I will do the factory reset. I’m gone for the weekend so will try on Monday.

I should mention I also have reason to believe these were already returned once and I got an opened box.

Oh I do not hear any physical sound when next to my ear.
