"Setting fail".

I want to disconnect motion detection on my Video Doorbell 2K but when I try to turn it off, it thinks about it for a while and then says “setting fail”. I also cannot seem to save a Quick Response, switch off Status LED, Auto Night Vision and I also get a “Unable to connect to homebase. (-3)” alert when I change to change some of the other settings. The doorbell, nevertheless rings on the homebase and on my mobile phone. Have I got a dud?

Sounds like something is blocking communication to enable you to change settings. Since the doorbell detects motion and you get alerts on your phone and Homebase, that probably means the problem is in your network or router, not the doorbell.

Its hard to give advice when you don’t give any details about which doorbell model and Homebase you are using.

First thing I would do is reboot your router and Homebase. Next, clear cache for the Eufy app on your phone.
