I had a lot of issues with my S340 to compelled tracking. According to Eufy if you get directly or under the camera it’s common to lose tracking they recommend for optimal tracking and detection for the camera to be place where motion will cut across so perpendicular the camera, it’s kinda frustrating that’s the only solution the have. I recently got the S4 and with the different motion sensors and dual cameras I completely tracks the entire time even around corners.

To save battery power. You can set it to record a minimum amount of time to capture extra action

Please share how. In the UK were in winter solo panels not charging s340. So at present I’m recharging it every seven days. Thank you in advance

Can you set the camera up to record from a particular time and then end?

Under customised recording under power management

IMO, electromagnetic interference can be a factor causing this issue. Somtimes, a quick calibration can fix it, even though it’s annoying.

:grinning:

We have 2 on each corner of our home & tracking (or even catching events) is like my husky…I’ll do it when I feel like it, which isn’t very reassuring when talking about security. We were going to put 2 more in the backyard but I’m really disappointed in these cameras.

The S340 has AI tracking issues. Especially when a person is within 2 meters of it. I have one on the corner of my house. And had many issues with the tracking constancy . Eufy managed to replace it with the E30. The tracking accuracy went up by 80% but you can still get a track lock/freeze.

Luckily I have moved the problem S340 to the other side of the house. So when the E30 fails to track. The person would move into the sight of the S340. So I now have complete cross tracking.

Going to charge my now, tell me about it!

Eufy led with this but it is false advertising in my opinion. The PIR has not predictive tracking of moving people. The tilt should keep the person with in PIR when a person walks close to it. But the rotation is poor and locks.

You definitely need to add a doorbell camera system

Is your camera set to Optimal Battery Life mode? The clip looked short, so I wasn’t sure if that was why.
The cameras record clearly overall — but just like in this video the license plate on the parked car is not captured clearly. During the day, tags just don’t show up clearly, and at night there’s a strong glare or glow over them, whether set to color or black and white.

Has anyone found a setting or angle adjustment that improves license plate clarity?

Same problem with Eufy s4 and smart screen e10 with live view enabled (firmware 2.5.06)
