I did not see a notification but when I was trying to figure out a camera streaming performance issue I noticed the battery levels were very low, 44-70% and II live in the desert. It is warm and sunny always. Is there a known firmware issue? These are connected to the HB3 and HomeBase S1 Pro.
1.Be sure that you took the protective plastic sheet off the solar panel.
2. make sure the solar panel is clean (do not use any chemicals if possible)
3. it is important to use an external website to calculate the proper solar panel angle for your location (use Google to search “solar panel angle calculator”)
Solar panels are very sensitive to angle and clarity of the panel. I had the same issue and fixed it by readjusting the panel to the correct angle. it was more horizontal with the earth than I thought it should be by far. It almost points just above the trees halfway between sunrise and sunset and I’ve never seen my batteries drop even with 500+ events with tracking.
All good on those points, my cameras were never below 97% befor the April update.
