Charge not holding

I charged all my cameras for only the second time 4 weeks ago, all of them are now showing amber low……I cannot do this for all 5 cameras every month please advise.

Maybe it’s due to cold temperatures.

It’s all about sunlight. You can monitor the battery charge level through settings/dashboard. You may want to reduce the sensitivity for each camera capture

Thank you will try that

Possibly but it hardly reaches zero here in South East Spain.

Hang in there and try to maximize exposure and placement for starters. I’m having issues with my new solar cams, too. But I believe it’s due largely to the weather (rain, snow, clouds) and the time of year. Remember that not only are the days shorter now, but the winter sun isn’t as strong as summer. (If you’re in the southern hemisphere, though, disregard this thought as you are in the prime of summer.

I charge mine by cable not solar, but even so the cold could effect the battery performance

Which camera do you have?
Are all your solar panels facing south, at the correct inclination for your latitude, and not in the shade for most of the day?

I have a Eufy s340, which came with a solar panel and a cable with USB-c plug. The battery drops to about 95% overnight, but as quickly charged to 100% after a couple of hours of sunlight.
If you have a USB port on the back of your cameras, then you should be able to buy solar panels for them from Eufy (or eBay).
I’m surprised that your camera batteries lasted 4 weeks. Did the Eufy camera description imply that the batteries would last UP TO 6 months? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Put your camera’s on a schedule and that will extend the battery life

I only put it on late at night to early morning or when we go out, at the most 9 hours out of every 24 and maybe 10 hours a week we are all out of the house.
That’s 73 hours out of every 168 hrs .

Yes 6 months, have had them for about 2 years so maybe they have reached the end of their lives

Wire them up

I had a S340 that worked great for months. Then the battery was dying quickly. We found out that the angle of the sun changed, putting the solar panel in the shade for too long to recharge. We moved the panel and have had no issues since.

I have three battery cameras all work good I have never had good luck with solar anything!
