Hi - I’ve recently purchased 4 E330 Professional cameras which are installed outside my home and connected wirelessly to a S380 Home Base. The cameras operated for 2 months without issues (unless the occasional signal loss between the home base and a random camera) and then the problems started.
One camera died completely (won’t turn on at all). Then a couple of weeks later, the second camera died. And yesterday the third one died as well.
They are all connected to the same AC line (but it’s stable and I have a floodlight connected to it as well, so nothing shows the AC could be the problem).
Eufy doesn’t seem to sell spare power adapters and now I have 3 completely unusable cameras.
I’m really surprised – I’ve own Eufy cameras for years (indoor and outdoor) and it’s the first time I’m experiencing this issue. It’s even more surprising considering that those are sold as “Professional” cameras.
Did anyone ever experience something like this? Any tips on how to solve it?
Hi, I can’t see all the power adapters burning out…
Is there any way you can test them, like do you have a digital multimeter to see if they’re putting out 12 volts?
you could purchase any power adapter, 12 volts at 1 amp check the specs on the eufy one, you would just need to find the correct size barrel connection.
That is strange! I have 9 of the E330 set up and besides the occasional connection issues and a restart usually restores them they have been pretty reliable. If they are less than a year they should be under warranty. I did have one that the IR sensor stopped working I called Eufy support told them I tried everything to get it working they said ok and sent out a new one delivered by Amazon the next day and emailed me a prepaid return shipping label. Still strange that all 3 quit working. Try bringing in next to Home base, remove from app, hold down sync button for 30 seconds then reinstall as a new device. If you plug it in and get no light at 1st there is definitely a issue. Keep us updated
You’re lucky they operated that long, I’m envious.
I purchased a 2k video doorbell and homebase 2 kit. Didn’t work correctly since unboxed.
Spent a lot of time dealing directly with customer service manager, they even sent a homebase 3 to try (which had the same issues and more), a replacement doorbell was sent and still no change
It’s nothing to do with my connectivity, network or setup and eufy Anker confirmed (I’m ex-I.T. in a fairly big way so ) and I sent numerous ling videos to “technicians”.
5 weeks later and zero progress or improvements. As you do, I started looking around for people with the same issues. Some of the ones I’ve had go back as far as 2021
Thank you for all replies. The devices are semi-hard to reach, so I need to wait for a better weather to climb the ceiling and remove the power adapters to test. My first assumption is that they are indeed burning, but that is quite strange (they are all very protected, using IP68 junction boxes, etc so it should not be a problem, specially on a product so-called “Professional”. Having to unplug/plug is not the expected experience either. I’ll test as soon s possible and update the thread.
I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve actually had good experiences with Eufy products, but seems like the latest products are not as good as the first ones. I had one 4G camera that never worked (they’ve replaced it twice, then I gave up…) and now the issue with the “Professional” cameras (which clearly aren’t professional at all).
Any time I have issues with my E330 pro it’s a WiFi issue. I have 9 of them so I think it’s to much for my network. If I reboot my router/modem it gets better for a couple of weeks. If getting to your power plugs are a pain try using a smart plug where you can turn power off to them remotely to reset them.
Yeah, I’m no means your average home user either. With my dealings with them, I felt as though I was training them Eufy is a joke now. Nothing works and they sell it at high prices knowing it’s not properly tested
I’d recommend putting them on their own subnet if you haven’t already.
All the other traffic in your main subnet will give performance issues to any security system.
Put it in a hidden ssid too if you use wifi
Hi - updating this thread: today we managed to unmount the cameras to check. AC power was OK and power supplies are also working as expected (we tested with the only camera still working). Then, to my surprise… water started to come out of one of the defective units. I left the three of them upside down for a couple of hours, and they all started leaking water. One of them seems to have powered on again, but won’t respond at all (not able to reset or do anything, although the LEDs are on). So, long story short, it’s indeed a product problem. Those are external, so called “professional cameras” but they can’t take rain. I’ll now try my chances with tech support..
Searching online, I could see this is not a new or unknown problem to Eufy. Customers of other outdoor cameras (which claim are IP67) also had the same issue.
Unfortunately the exchange is difficult for me as I purchased the items in the US, but using it abroad. Eufy refuses to ship it here.
The reason why I bought them was because of Eufy’s claim that those were IP67 protected. IP676 signifies the device can be submerged in water up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) for 30 minutes and still function properly. Hard to believe a rain can create more water pressure than this.
Eufy clearly lies to customers. I can’t understand why they are still on business.

Did they give you a reason why they refuse to ship it to you? It makes no sense and it shouldn’t matter what country you’re using it in from what country you bought it from.
Oh no water is definitely a problem they were probably not assembled correctly and the gasket got pinched and not sealing correctly. I hope Eufy does something for you even if they’re out of warranty maybe a big discount on replacements. For the most part I’ve had good luck with the E330 some are a little more protected under a overhang/eve but some are 100% exposed. New ones are usually on sale on Amazon for $89 us. If they don’t take them back and don’t start working after drying out I would love to see you open them up and investigate it’s issues
Ne prepared for plenty of lip service, but no actual fixes.
I had 5 weeks of it before I fold them what I thought of their stuff and their “technicians”.
If the end user can give more accurate information and resolutions than the manufacturer can, then there’s a big problem.
Ideally, I’d suggest returning it all and getting a NAS.
Synology do a great system and it works
Well, I’ll fight for the refund… let’s see what happens. In the meantime, the 4th camera (still working) has started to show signs of problems. Audio doesn’t work anymore. Probably water in the mic or systems. Should be a matter of days until it dies completely. Terrible, terrible product. And worse: when you call tech support, they come up with stupid suggestions such as connecting the dead camera to my phone hotspot… how would I be able to connect a camera that doesn’t even turn on to anything???
I have had the exact same problem. Out of the 4 cameras 3 have died and one of the replacements has died again. All cameras are located under the spout so are only partially protected. All have died after a storm. Out of warranty now and they wont replace the camera that was sent to me only 6 months ago. All my old Eufy cameras work fine! just these new E330 24/7 pro cameras!
