Homebase 3: No RTSP Streams after Firmwareupdate

Hello,
since the firmware update that was installed on my device on March 14, 2026, the RTSP stream no longer works on all S300 and S220 cameras connected to the Homebase 3. Even with firmware 3.8.2.0 from April 10, it has not improved for me.
Relearning or deactivating and reactivating RTSP has led to nothing. In parallel with this problem, a second problem has also arisen: In the Eufy app, I can no longer see all videos. Some have no preview, and most of the videos without a preview also can no longer be displayed. The video then simply hangs at “Decrypting from local storage.”
Since Eufy has been putting me off for 6 weeks and says they are investigating the problem, I thought I would ask here if I am the only one with this problem or if someone else has had the problem and was able to solve it.

Hi, I don’t use RTPS or a HomeBase, oh I’m just bumping you up. Hopefully someone here will reply.
If you haven’t done so yet, my next move would to be restarting the HomeBase if that doesn’t help then I would restart my homes Wi-Fi router.

We all seem to be suffereing from the dreaded updates in oneway or another. My issue is different and waiting for a new update to fix the bugs!

I am having the same problem. RTSP is a well documented feature in Eufy’s literature. Surprised it is taking that long to fix!..

Anker said there will be an update an the end of july… I send the homebase and cameras back and switched the vendor…

I don’t use RTSP either but I did have playback issues a few weeks ago and the most recent app update fixed it for me. I haven’t noticed any other issues yet but something else always breaks every time there is a update to the app or the home base. I’m not a programmer just a dumb electrician but I don’t understand why it happens. I’m on A iPhone and the latest app version is 6.0.40 but I did hear 6.0.50 is going to be released end of June to early July I just hope it doesn’t break something else. I always check the app store for available updates sometimes it might not be listed on my available app updates so I always search the store then tap on the app and then it will say update available. I keep auto updates off on my phone so I don’t get a update I don’t want or fear has issues that saved me when i had playback issues my other phone and the wife’s phone with older versions still worked then. Now all are running 6.0.40

hello, I finally got a new homebase 3 firmware version yesterday (3.8.7.4), but still no working RTSP. It may be even worse than before, not even getting a 404 back now. Anyone has it working?
