Now that summer is here, I have noted excessive fan speed (noise) from the HomeBase3. It seems to occur at random and can only be stopped by resetting the base.
It is on the second floor where temperatures can run 80 ºF and up, and has a 1TB 2.5" spinning hard drive installed.
The only reason it is up there instead of in the (cool) basement is because I thought that location was better for Wi-Fi connections to the outdoor cameras.
Is that true? I can move it to test, but would rather not bother if the basement will in fact be a bad location. Any thoughts?
