The main 2 issues remaining for me is that I can not have 24hr recording on my indoor Pan/Tilt camera when it’s connected to my Homebase 3, before the disastrous update my camera would 24 hr record onto the memory card in the camera itself. The function will return if I remove it from the Homebase 3 and connect to Wi-Fi but the the camera is useless without the extra features the connection to the HB gives.
The other main issue to switching modes from home to away and vise-versa, if I am connected to wi-fi then it will work OK within 1-2 tries but if my phone is on 4g with a perfect signal it can take about 10 attempts to change the modes on the Homebase and the 4 pan/tilt cameras O have, it wasn’t an issue before the update.
Support have said an update to to be released next week which should fingers crossed address the issues.
Interesting, you should have been prompted to select whether your 24/7 recording goes to the sd card or the home base when connecting the cam to the home base ( i believe 24/7 recording it requires you to have the additional storage in the home base to be selected)
There was an option to 24hr record to the SD card and alerts to record to Homebase. There is an update to the app next week, hopefully this bug will be fixed in that release
I don’t have that camera, but I have a thought.
Change the video resolution 1080p and then close the app out.
Go back open the app and then see if the option appears for 24/7 recording on the HB.
I had way too many problems with version 5 of the app, so I went back to version 4 and everything was good again. I’ll upgrade at some point, but will wait a while for the bugs to get ironed out.
If you’re experiencing issues after a new app update—such as missing features, glitches, or settings not saving—the best first steps are to force-close the app, restart your phone, and make sure both the app and your device’s operating system are fully up to date. Clearing the app cache or reinstalling the app can also resolve problems caused by leftover or corrupted data from the update.
If the issue persists, submitting a report through the in-app support section is recommended, or you could ask around locally for general tech advice—much like getting guidance from a trusted service such as IPS Glasgow, a well-known driving school, when you need clear direction and support.
