Issues with Face Management

I wanted to raise an issue I’ve noticed with Eufy’s Face Management system, specifically around the lack of options to update or correct recognised faces.

Over the past four months, only two people have been added to my familiar faces list – despite the fact that I regularly have visits from my gardener and a DIY professional, both of whom appear frequently on camera. Yet neither of them has been added or recognised by the system.

Additionally, a Sainsbury’s delivery driver, who clearly appeared in front of the camera, was not recognised or suggested for addition either.

Worse still, the system mistakenly associated my face with another person in the database – and there is no option to correct or reassign the face to the correct profile already in the system. This is frustrating, especially when the person has been previously identified and logged.

There seems to be no way to:

  • Manually attach a newly detected face to an existing familiar face.
  • Reassign or correct misidentified faces.
  • Improve recognition for frequent visitors who are not being added automatically.

The face management system is a great idea in theory, but in its current form, it feels underdeveloped and lacking critical functionality that would make it genuinely useful.

Would appreciate if Eufy could address:

  1. Why are some frequent visitors are not picked up at all?
  2. Whether there will be an option to manually merge, reassign, or correct face identities in the future?
