Why do my cameras rarely trip color at night? I have had one replaced, still a problem.

I assume you have color night vision toggled on? And spot light enabled? If so it should turn on spot light when motion is detected and give you color night vision. If still not working try restarting the camera or power cycle it.last resort remove camera from app factory reset then add as a new device. I have 9 E330 pro and they work fine
Good day, I have done every instructed request repeatedly. Even recently uninstalled and reinstalled every camera which you know requires taking them down and reinstalling. My husband just loves this, NOT! I have no idea why they never ever triggers on small animals, cats, opossum etc. but big animals or people are frustrating when it does not work. I do have one film where an ORB flew through the driveway and it triggered color.. So odd. I hope you can see this..

What about Live View? When you’re viewing at night does it auto switch to color?
I think you can also adjust the camera settings in there also when watching live view.
I think its the snow reflecting enough light to keep the night vision from engaging.
Snow? I disagree with you, I have included videos with no snow, or rain, they look the same on video and still no color. You mean with the ORB? What about the deer? It was pitch black.. I believe watching live is black and white at night. There has to be movement to try and get color if it decides to work. Two different cameras, no precipitation. ???

I had another rep reach out yesterday, I thought they were the escalated team?? Their name was “Song”. I set them additional videos. I just wanted to let you know that I have all new equipment from my internet provider along with all new wiring in the hopes there is a signal issue somewhere. I don’t understand how that could interrupt the “Night Color Vision” . However, I am actively trying my best to rectify things on my end. It looks like 3 out of the four cameras do not steadily record color, in fact one never has.. Always black and white.
Anything else you expect from me?
Thank you, Brenda
It has to be an issue with the camera, you have the settings set correctly to record color night vision and it’s not doing so… I also find it strange that three of the cameras have that problem??
Maybe it’s an app issue?
Are all the cameras running the same firmware?
Have you checked if there’s a firmware update for them?
Your internet and new wiring, as you said can’t have nothing to do with that issue.
I would love to know myself, seriously! Not sure how you feel about spending money on things you feel like you really analyzed and made the right choice, only to be disappointed.
I have checked every camera repeatedly, and all have the latest firmware.
I can send you a screenshot of every camera if you would like?
Done this so many times, including reinstalling all cameras. The spotlight is on on every camera, and the three not working were set at 100%, the one working was set at 50%. So I just set them all at 50% to see if that makes difference. I also uninstalled the app and reinstalled. AGAIN!
I hope eufy support helps you figure this out.
I can’t assume that three cameras LED lights don’t work..
Are you able to manually turn the LED lights on, say during the evening when you’re viewing the camera in Live View (real time) and switching the LED light on from the options below?
Thank you for your reply. I am unable to shut the LED lights off and have. Last night I tried setting them all at 50% because I noticed the one camera that is working correctly was set at 50%. Unfortunately, that changed nothing. I am working with customer service, however, nothing he last few days but escalation. It’s disheartening. Like I said, we did all the homework. Tried to buy the security that was affordable for us and had great reviews. I sent hem a video that showed in the middle of the night, I got BW recordings, but when my husband took the dog out in the early a.m., still dark outside, the color tripped. We have motion lights on the back camera, and none on the front. Still does not work either way. ![]()
I see good products of eufy to use for home security purposes. Lovely stuff!!

Have you tried max sensitivity? Also maybe removing any zones? Also, under AI motion detection options, toggle “all motion” off then go back in and toggle on. I seem to have this problem occasionally. I recently figured out that even if there is clearly motion that continues past a certain distance, my cameras stop recording. Or don’t record.
Just a thought: any way to try them using the previous version of the app?
Turn on auto color vision
